Provost McCrae was keen for the curator of Falkirk Museums to meet his talented Grandson.

I was fresh out of art college and perhaps expected more than a sandwich and a cuppa soup for my first ever business lunch.

It wasn't long before my exquisite Biro illustration of Kinneil House led to numerous commissions from the likes of the British Museum who had an ongoing requirement for delicate illustration of Netsuke from the Sutton Hoo Burial, Roman helmets and other rare artifacts - my reputation soon spread. i was keen, passionate, brilliant, prolific in any style and i was cheap. These days, my wife confirms, I am still cheap.
